A post on the Rockstar Newswire today info-dumped a ton of information regarding future plans for GTA Online. These details included several updates announced for the first time.
Without naming names, Rockstar hinted at a sequel to 2015’s “Executives and Other Criminals” update. This update allowed players to achieve “VIP” status and found their own crime ring. The update will let you take things even futher: you’ll be able to buy entire buildings and run an entire criminal empire. “Manage inventory directly from your HQ, arranging to buy and sell anything from jewels to narcotics to medical supplies from a range of nefarious suppliers. Expect the unexpected as you head out with your team to make each pickup. Keep your stock in mint condition to maintain value and sell at a profit–and watch for raids on your warehouses between shipments!”
In terms of cars, an update is coming that promises “crazy stunts.” Says Rockstar, “For crazy vehicular action comes a major update to the wild world of GTA Online — racing and stunting that will introduce a new realm of creative and fun games.”
Other updates being prepared: new Adversary modes, more tools for Rockstar Content Creator, and new areas for the just-added In and Out Mode. In the meantime, players can also expect more weekly updates like the Time Trials Week that’s taking place today.
There are no specific dates announced for any of these updates, but they are all expected to become available before the end of 2016.
